The Hoosier Hills Hamfest is sponsored by The Hoosier Hills Ham Club (Since 1962!) in Lawrence County Indiana and is currently Indiana's oldest celebration of amateur radio!  We have indoor and outdoor vendor/flea market spaces to buy, sell, and trade amateur radio equipment and other electronics, ham radio license testing, door prizes, informative forums/presentations about the amateur radio hobby on the main stage, and more!

Flea Market/Vendor Info

  • We ask that vendors please stay until the end of the Hamfest at 4PM if possible
  • Indoor Vendor Space $10, 100 sq ft area! Power available in most booths. Table included with purchase of indoor space. Click here to reserve a space now!
  • Ham Radio Clubs get one booth space for free! Bring your banner and wear your club shirts to promote your club!
  • Unlimited tailgating available outside the main building, $5 per spot! TONS of space available!
  • Early setup for Vendors available on morning of Hamfest at 6:00 AM
  • Radio and Electronics/Computer related vendors preferred, but any type of items for sale are welcome at our hamfest!

Presentations will be taking place on our main stage throughout the day. Adequate Seating Available!

  • 11:00 AM - An Introduction To QSO Parties and County Lines:
    An informative presentation about participating in state QSO Party contests, and how to get double credit for yourself and others by working spots right on county lines, and much more! Presented by Ray Stevens, KB9LGS

  • 12:30 PM - Introduction To Ham Radio:
    Have you always heard of Ham Radio, also known as Amateur Radio, and wanted to know more? This presentation, focused toward the "ham interested", will provide detail on what Ham Radio is, what it's all about, and how to get started in the hobby! Presented by Tim Wray, KB9SNL

Ham Radio License Testing

  • Registration Begins at 9:30 AM
  • Testing starts promptly at 10:00 AM
  • In order to test, you will need $15 to pay for the exam, as well as two pieces of ID, one of which MUST be Photo ID.

    If you are already licensed and upgrading, you will need a copy of your current amateur radio license.

    If you are testing for a new amateur radio license (you are currently unlicensed), you will also need to have registered for an FRN with the FCC via their ULS system. You can register for an FRN by clicking/tapping here: FCC CORES Registration

Admission Info

  • $5 per person (You receive a ticket you can place into the drawing barrel at the Hoosier Hills Ham Club table for prize drawings)
  • Children 12 and under are FREE!
  • Buy your ticket at the Southeast door of the building (Under the "Entrance" banner)
